Summer Version gibt es seit 2005. Jedenfalls unter diesem Namen, denn Manfred Upnmoor (Bass, Gesang), Olaf Upnmoor (Gitarre, Gesang)
und Thomas Gegner (Schlagzeug, Ex-Medfield M.A.) spielten schon früher zusammen: in den Bands Substance und Mole.
Musikalisch liegt das Trio aus Lübeck zwischen Bands wie Placebo, Interpol oder Blackmail, und spielt melodiösen Indie-Rock mit
New Wave-Einflüssen, wobei Gitarre, Bass und Schlagzeug auf zweistimmigen Gesang treffen.

Summer Version exist since 2005. Under this name, that is, because Manfred Upnmoor (bass, vox), Olaf Upnmoor (guitar, vox)
and Thomas Gegner (drums, Ex-Medfield M.A.) had been playing together before: in bands called Substance and Mole.
Musically the three piece from Lübeck might be compared to bands like Placebo, Interpol, or Blackmail -
Summer Version play melodic indie rock with influences from post punk and new wave, with guitar, bass, and drums meeting two vocal lines.
